Warung Pak Mat Sup Kepala Ikan and Teh tarik madu

it has been a while since my last blog about kelantan food, well is hard to find good food nowadays that worth sharing, and hey here come another epic!

Warung PAK Mat is located somewhere near pantai cahaya bulan, one of the famous beach in kota bharu. It is famous and therefore one fine day me and my housemate decided to drive about 20 minutes from the town to this place, and yes is worth it!

we were greeted by the friendly staff, pick the soup, make sure u get someone along coz u might not be able to finish the dish on your own. Since only two of us so we decided to take the small portion of fish and not the famous fish head.

The soup was superb, spicy, sour and leave you craving for more. Pak Mat came over and socialize, introducing the food and drinks. Ah, not to forget their famous teh tarik madu, which is surprising ly not that sweet after all as compared to other kelantanese drinks. 

Will i come back? definitely yes!

perhentian

staying in the east coast means staying near the beach, it will be a waste if we did not take the chance to visit the nearest island, perhentian island for some snorkeling and getaway from our busy schedule.
so here we come perhentian!!
early in the morning we depart from kubang kerian heading to besut, the jetty nearest to perhentian island, which take merely 45 minutes drive.
there is paying carpark near the jetty and they mention about 24 hours guard around :)

the boat took about another 45 minutes to the island.
it is a nice place to relax and the water is crystal clear, enjoy the beach, sunshine
apart from diving, snorkeling, u can just relax by sleeping or reading in the hammock while having the breeze from the sea...
